Message from the Conference Co-Chairs
We are excited to welcome participants to the 2020 IEEE International Conference on Intelligence and Security Informatics (ISI). This years’ conference will be held virtually.
Intelligence and security informatics (ISI) is an interdisciplinary field involving academic researchers in information technology, social and behavioral sciences, computer science, law, and public policy. The field also includes industry consultants, practitioners, security managers, and chief information security officers who support physical and cybersecurity missions at the individual, organizational, national, and international levels (e.g., anticipation, interdiction, prevention, preparedness, and response to threats).
New this year:
- Virtual conference program that spans multiple time zones.
- High-quality respondents will provide comments for each paper presented. This will provide authors with feedback on their research.
- Scholarships for a one-year IEEE membership to women, underrepresented minorities, and scholars/students from underdeveloped nations.

Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Each manuscript must clearly articulate their data (e.g., key metadata, statistical properties, etc.), analytical procedures (e.g., representations, algorithm details, etc.), and evaluation set up and results (e.g., performance metrics, statistical tests, case studies, etc.). Making data, code, and processes publicly available to facilitate scientific reproducibility is not required, but is strongly encouraged.
The following paper categories are welcome:
- Long paper (maximum of 6 pages)
- Short paper (maximum of 3 pages)
- Poster (1 page)

2020 IEEE ISI proceedings will be published by the IEEE Press in formal proceedings. Selected papers may also be encouraged to submit to a special issue at IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing (TDSC) pertaining to Explainable AI for Cyber Threat Intelligence (XAI-CTI) or considered for ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems.
Venue
2020 IEEE ISI will be a completely virtual conference that will be designed to provide scholars from around the globe opportunities to participate. This will include sessions that occur at reasonable times for participants. The virtual schedule will be available after papers have been accepted to account for the presenters’ home time zones.
