Extended Reality (XR) technologies hold significant potential in promoting environmental sustainability. The need for leveraging XR, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), in this context arises from its unique capabilities to simulate real-world environments and provide immersive, interactive experiences. These capabilities can be harnessed to foster environmental education and awareness, support sustainable urban planning and design, promote eco-friendly practices, and aid in environmental research and conservation. Nevertheless, it is of utmost importance to take into account the environmental ramifications linked to the use of XR technologies, including energy consumption and electronic waste, and endeavour to achieve sustainable design and utilization of these technologies. " The Influence of Extended Reality (XR) on Environmental Sustainability" is an insightful book that explores the revolutionary capacity of Extended Reality (XR) technologies in advancing environmental sustainability. It will provide a comprehensive overview of XR technologies, their evolution, and their current applications across various sectors. It proceeds to explore the intersection of XR and environmental sustainability, highlighting how these immersive technologies can be leveraged to address some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. One of the key arguments put forth is that XR can help bridge the gap between human actions and their environmental consequences. By providing immersive, realistic simulations of environmental scenarios, XR can foster a deeper understanding of environmental issues, promote empathy, and motivate sustainable behaviours. The potential of XR in environmental education and awareness is significant. 6. Maximum 28-30 pages.
7. Figures must be high resolution and clear with 300 dpi and must be in an editable format.
8. Figures must be original.
9. After acceptance of the full chapter, need to fill the copyright form carefully with all necessary infomation.
