Call for Book Chapter
Futuristic Manufacturing: Perpetual Advancement and Research Challenges
Manufacturing processes are the most important practices in industries to transform raw materials into useful products for the service of society and mankind. With the rapid development in materials engineering, several high-end materials with superior mechanical and physical properties are being developed for various applications. Processing these materials to get a useful product is a challenging task. Moreover, conventional manufacturing processes are not adequate to meet future challenges. Thus, there is a need of upgrading the conventional manufacturing systems to meet future challenges with lower manufacturing costs. The objective of the book is to present the technological advancement in the manufacturing processes and research challenges. This book will cover machining processes such as high-speed machining, sustainable manufacturing, LN2 and LCO2 based cryogenic machining, hybrid machining processes, and micromachining. The book will also cover the recently developed additive manufacturing processes for metal, polymer, and hybrid additive manufacturing and the application of artificial intelligence in manufacturing.
Submission Guidelines
The chapter must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal/conference/book.
- The authors must ensure that the research work aligns with the scope of the 'Call for Book Chapter'.
- Plagiarism/similarities are serious offenses. The submitted full book chapters will be checked for similarity using TURNITIN. The similarity index must not be more than 10% with less than 10 words excluding the bibliography.
- If excerpts from copyrighted works (including websites) such as illustrations, tables, animations, or text quotations are included in your manuscript, please obtain permission from the copyright holder (usually the original publisher) for both the print and online format.
- The book chapter should be submitted as a single PDF file.
- The total word count should be in the range of 6000 to 8000, including references, appendix, tables, etc.
- All chapters will be subject to a double-blind rigorous review process, by a minimum of two independent reviewers, under the supervision of the Editors.
- All the submissions will be accepted through the EasyChair submission link only.
