The Global Optimization Conference (GOC) is a triennial conference of the International Society of Global Optimization. It will be organized in Shanghai, China, August 8th to 12th, 2025, by School of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and co-organized by Operations Research Society of China and Operations Research Society of Shanghai. The GOC 2025 continues the tradition of the World Congress on Global Optimization (WCGO) that previously took place in Changsha, China (2009), Chania, Greece (2011), Huangshan, China (2013), Gainesville, Florida (2015), College Station, Texas (2017), Metz, France (2019), Athens, Greece (2021) and Athens, Greece (2023). This conference will offer an excellent forum for researchers and practitioners in the field of global optimization from all over the world.
A primary goal of the GOC is to bring together scientists, engineers, mathematicians and practitioners from a variety of related disciplines, to exchange ideas and present original research results in the theory and applications of global optimization. One of the highlights of this biannual meeting is the announcement of Constantin Carathéodory Prize of the International Society of Global Optimization awarded in recognition of lifetime contributions to the field of global optimization.
The GOC 2025 is hosted by the International Society of Global Optimization, undertaken by the Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and co-organized by the Operations Research Society of China and the Operations Research Society of Shanghai.
