Industry 4.0 is about using connected intelligence to usher in greater productivity, quality, flexibility, safety and resource utilisation across manufacturing enterprises, in which advanced manufacturing such as Robotics or Additive Manufacturing plays a critical role.

International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Advanced Manufacturing, abbreviated as I-4AM (pronounced i-forum), is a biennial conference series, which intends to provide a platform to bring together all stakeholders in manufacturing and Industry 4.0, in particular those in academia and industry, in both India and abroad for them to deliberate on the nature, needs, challenges, opportunities, problems and solutions in this transformational area of endeavour. A specific focus of I-4AM is to provide a platform for exploring avenues for creating a vision of, and enablers for sustainable, affordable, and human-centric Industry 4.0, and to showcase cutting edge practice, research and educational innovation in this crucial and rapidly evolving area.

I-4AM 2024 is the third in a series of conferences to be held in India by the Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (CPDM) during 11-12 January 2024. IISc is one of India's leading science and technology institutions and is one of the Institutes of Eminence decreed by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. I-4AM 2024 is sponsored by the Smart Factory at IISc, a Common Engineering Facility Centre (CEFC) under the Samarth Udyog Bharat 4.0 Programme, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India.

I-4AM 2024 will include keynotes and panel discussions from thought leaders in the industry, academia, strategic sectors and policy bodies; presentations of refereed papers as podium presentations, invited start-ups & interactive sessions with entrepreneurs. All papers accepted for the conference will be published in a proceedings book by Springer Nature and indexed in Scopus and other databases.

Please note that I-4AM 2024 is intended to be conducted entirely in-person, without any online or hybrid mode.

Submission of full papers, addressing original research contributions (review papers will not be accepted), is sought in all areas of Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing, including but not limited to the following areas:

Prospective authors are invited to submit their full paper/s, by uploading the PDF of the paper to the conference management tool, EasyChair latest by 30th June 2023 through https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=i4am2024
