English language has gained a significant global prominence over the period of time. Almost 1.5 billion people, across the world, use English as a mode of communication. Though germinating from England, the language has spread through the world, bridging people across communities and cultures.  

English has become the lingua franca (ELF) among people, hailing from different linguistic backgrounds. In academia ELF has potentially facilitated the collaboration and communication across disciplines and institution. The dynamic and adaptable nature of ELF has endowed it with the capability of becoming a resource tool for multilingual communities. The use of ELF has enhanced intercultural competence, communicative skills, creativity and innovation. However, this position has not been achieved without confrontation to challenges.  

The aim of The International Conference on English Learning and Teaching Skills (ICELTS), scheduled to be held from 9^th to 11th February, 2024, is to bring together scholars, researchers and students to share their perception on the challenges faced by ELF in contemporary academia and role of English language in connecting communities, across the globe.  

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

• All manuscripts must be in Font Times New Roman, Size: 12, Line spacing: Single spaced and submitted only as MS Word 2007/2010.
• All manuscripts should strictly follow the APA Style of Citation.
• The documents must include Name and Affiliation details in the body of your submission.
