The IMAV conference focuses on all scientific studies related to Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs), ranging from aerodynamics and design of small drones to their control and artificial intelligence. The conference is always combined with real-world competitions that aim to bring theory into practice and advance the state of the art. IMAV 2023 will be organized by RWTH Aachen University
Submission Guidelines
Articles will be fully peer-reviewed and published open access.
A selection of best-reviewed articles will be invited to special issues in the International Journal of Micro Air Vehicles ( https://journals.sagepub.com/home/mav ) and in Unmanned Systems ( https://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/us )
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 15
NOTIFICATION DATE: July 1
CAMERA READY: September 1
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
During the conference, scientific and technical papers can be presented. Authors will have an allotted timeslot of 20 minutes to present their work. Technical and scientific papers can be submitted as draft papers. Fullpapers should be submitted until 1. September 2023. Papers should have a minimum of 6 pages and a maximum of 8 pages. File sizes should be minimized (max 5MB) while graphical quality should be maximized by using vector graphics whenever possible.
Topics
We are now inviting authors to submit papers for presentation at the conference. We welcome contributions on all aspects of MAVs, including, but not limited to:
- Sensing and perception for MAVs
- Multi-MAV systems and swarm intelligence
- Low Reynolds number aerodynamics
- Design of novel MAV types (hybrids, propulsion, silent drones)
- MAVs that interact robustly with their environment
- New control methods
- Reconfiguration of MAVs in unpredicted events
- Autonomous navigation in GPS-denied environments
- Integration of MAVs in airspace (sense-and-avoid, UTM, …)
- Application of MAVs in industry, agriculture, environmental monitoring, search and rescue operations
