ISIPTA is the primary international forum about theories and applications of imprecise probabilities. The symposium is open to contributions on all aspects of imprecise probabilities, which is a generic term for the many mathematical and statistical models and methods that allow us to measure chance or uncertainty without the restriction of sharp probabilities. This includes (but is not limited to) sets of probability measures, partial preference orderings, game-theoretic probability, choice functions, interval probabilities, belief functions and possibility theory.
Submission Guidelines
Two types of contributions are available at ISIPTA 2023; details are given below. Both types of contributions should be submitted through the Easychair plataform. Accepted papers will be published at the Proceedings of Machine Learning Research.
- Long papers
Long -or regular- papers have a limit of 9 pages excluding references. The paper should be self-contained. Small appendices with additional material are allowed, but this material will not necessarily be reviewed. In case of appendices extremely large or including material needed to follow the paper, the Program Committee Board will take the decision of whether or not to consider the paper for inclusion in the proceedings.
Submissions will be reviewed by at least two members of the Programme Committee, who will provide a detailed report of the paper. Based on these reports, the Programme Committee Board will take a decision on the paper.
Accepted papers should be presented both in a plenary and in a poster session. The objective of the latter is to allow the authors to give detailed explanations about their paper as well as to encourage scientific discussion.
- 1-page abstracts
Researchers interested in presenting on-going research or new research ideas may opt to submit a 1-page abstract. Accepted 1-page abstracts will be given a short time for plenary presentation and must also be defended in a poster session.
This type of contributions will also be reviewed by experts in order to address the interest of the submission; based on these opinions the Programme Committee Board will decide on the acceptance.
