6th International Symposium on Language and Communication Research (LCR2025)

Multimodality in Language and Communication: Unlocking Research Potentials

This symposium is organized and hosted by the Language and Communication Research Lab (LCRL) at the College of Humanities and Sciences, Prince Sultan University (PSU). It aims at promoting research on language and communication in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Area through bringing together international names and high-quality research in various disciplines. These include, but are not limited to, Translation and Stylistics, Second Language Acquisition, Assessment, Corpus Linguistics and Discourse Analysis, Communication Studies, Cross-cultural Studies and Psycholinguistics and Bilingualism.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome proposals in one of these three categories:

1- Individual papers

Paper presentations should be 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes for discussion.

The abstract should range between 250 - 300 words in length with a clear title (12 words maximum). The abstract should reflect the research gap, methods, and findings/implications.

2- Posters

Poster presentations should be 15 minutes long with an additional 5 minutes for discussion.

The abstract should range between 250-300 words in length with a clear title (12 words maximum). It should reflect the research gap, methods, and findings/implications.

Please note that:

1- All proposals must be in English.

2- All submissions should include a short bio (50 words) of the author(s).
