Smart manufacturing enables better quality, higher productivity, lower costs, and increased flexibility in the manufacturing process. A growing number of manufacturers are developing sustainable manufacturing practices, and the concept of sustainability is receiving more attention. Artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and digital twins are some of the technologies used in smart manufacturing to upgrade and enhance production efficiency. Furthermore, wireless sensor networks provide flexibility while lowering costs and optimizing processes. The book covers both theoretical and practical aspects of smart manufacturing.
