Information technology and computer science are research fields with multiple applications in our daily and working lives. The goal of the International Conference on Computing and Informatics of Northern Chile (INFONOR) is to provide an international forum for exchanging ideas and information on research results, challenges, system developments, and practical experiences from academia and industry.

This conference will be hybrid to allow as many authors and invited speakers to participate from any part of the world, but also to allow face-to-face collaboration for those that can attend physically.

INFONOR 2023 is going to be held in Universidad Católica del Norte, Antofagasta, Chile, from 6 to 8 September 2023. The purpose of this XIV edition is to be a forum for technical exchange among researchers, scientists, professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and interested people on new advances of Computing and Informatics, being a meeting point to address new challenges, share solutions and create networking for future research. 

List of Topics

Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers describing novel results on the following topics, but not limited to:

• Biomedical Engineering
• Business Intelligence
• Computer Vision
• Data and Knowledge Engineering
• Communication and Technology on Education
• Information Security
• Network and Computer Communications
• Software Engineering

Submission Guidelines

Submitted papers must represent original material that is not currently under review in any other conference or journal, and has not been previously published.

Submissions should be in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. 

Papers submitted to INFONOR-CHILE 2023 have to use the official template. 

All proposed papers must be submitted in PDF format following the conference template.

All papers will be subjected to a double-blind review by at least two members of the Technical Program Committee.

Papers should be submitted through easychair.

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register to the conference and present the paper. 

A number of papers selected from INFONOR-CHILE 2023 will be invited for submission to a fast-track publication in: INGENIARE (Scopus)

Additionally, we are working to organise a Journal Special Issue in an ISI journal (Q3) in Spanish.

The decision will depend on the quality of the paper and the quality of the presentation at INFONOR-CHILE 2023. The final decision will be made by the conference chairs after the event.

Extended Paper Submission:    July 7^th, 2023 (a Firm deadline)

Notification of acceptance:       July 31^st, 2023

Camera-ready submission:        August 21^th, 2023

Author registration date:           Since August 1^st, 2023
