We are happy to now open the Call of Abstracts for the 31st Nordic Symposium on Tourism & Hospitality Research on 19-21 Sep 2023 hosted by the European Tourism Research Institute (ETOUR) at Mid Sweden University, Östersund, Sweden.
We kindly invite you to submit your extended abstract in relation to the overall conference theme: Rethinking Tourism for a Sustainable Future. We seek to address abstracts and conference presentations with regard to themes such as (but not exclusive):
- Incidents of sustainable world-creation through tourism where empowered communities, place prosperity and meaningful work is prominent.
- Sustainable institutional arrangements where governance can be a source of creativity and social innovation for the maintenance of public goods, commons and welfare.
- Tourism business, entrepreneurs and economic re-thinking for a responsible, ethical and spiritual leadership.
- Responsible tourist behavior and transformative experiences with learning and behavioral change.
- Critical ontology, epistemology & ethics in tourism science.

The Call of Abstracts for the 31st Nordic Symposium of Tourism and Hospitality Research 2023 opens at 22nd March. Please submit your abstract before 21st April 2023 through the submission system EasyChair https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=nsthr2023

Your extended abstract should be between 1,000 - 1,500 words long (including references). Beyond an informative title and affiliation information your extended abstract should also show informative headings. If you submit to a thematic session, please, indicate the session title, your submitted abstract should be assigned to. All abstracts must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
For your submission apply the following formatting guideline: Font: Calibri; Font size: 10, Line spacing: Single, Headings: Bold.
Please, upload your extended abstract as a pdf (file extension .pdf) including any tables/figures/illustrations.
Accepted abstracts will be published in an online book of abstracts. We expect that at least one author will present your accepted abstract at the Symposium.
