EasyChair Preprint no. 11061

10 pagesDate: October 9, 2023

Abstract

This study explored the romanticization of fashion in the digital era and its influence through fashion influencers. We identified key elements of fashion, including romantic aesthetics, engaging visual narratives, and emotional connection with the audience. Influencers play a crucial role in translating and making romantic fashion accessible. Furthermore, we investigated the impact on consumer behavior, revealing that many followers seek to recreate the looks of digital influencers, affecting their purchasing choices. While romanticization can promote conscious consumption, it can also lead to excessive consumption. This study highlights the need to balance stylistic expression with ethical and sustainable considerations in digital fashion.
