Abstract

This abstract highlights the significance of genetic diversity and breeding for traits such as disease resistance, drought tolerance, and nutritional content in vegetable crops.

Genetic diversity serves as the foundation for crop improvement by providing a wide range of genetic resources within a species. It offers the potential to develop cultivars with enhanced resilience to environmental challenges and improved nutritional value.
