This study delves into the multifaceted regulatory landscape governing internet banking operations, encompassing data protection laws, cybersecurity standards, and financial regulations. It examines the roles of regulatory bodies and supervisory authorities in establishing and enforcing compliance requirements to mitigate risks and protect consumer interests. Moreover, this paper explores the implications of regulatory compliance on the design and implementation of secure systems and protocols in internet banking platforms. It analyzes best practices for risk management, identity verification, and encryption techniques to fortify digital infrastructures against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Furthermore, this study investigates the challenges and complexities associated with cross-border transactions and international regulatory harmonization efforts. It explores emerging trends in regulatory technology (RegTech) and the adoption of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to enhance compliance monitoring and enforcement capabilities.
