EasyChair Preprint no. 12640

7 pagesDate: March 20, 2024

Abstract

This paper explores the concept of taxation as a harmonious melody, where fiscal policies are crafted not only to generate revenue but also to orchestrate economic stability, promote social justice, and foster environmental wellness. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from economics, sociology, and environmental studies, this research delves into the intricate dynamics of tax structures and their impact on the triad of economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Through case studies and empirical analysis, the paper examines successful strategies for designing tax systems that not only fund public goods and services but also address inequalities, mitigate environmental harm, and stimulate sustainable development. By conceptualizing taxation as a melody, this study advocates for a holistic approach to fiscal policy-making, where the harmonization of economic, social, and environmental objectives creates a symphony of prosperity and well-being for present and future generations.
