Abstract

Understanding the spatial distribution of disease incidence is crucial for effective public health planning and resource allocation. Geostatistical methods offer powerful tools for analyzing and visualizing the spatial patterns of disease occurrence. This paper explores applying geostatistical techniques in mapping and understanding disease incidence patterns using a case study of a fictional disease. We delve into the process of data collection, exploratory spatial data analysis, interpolation methods, and spatial modeling. The results highlight the significance of geostatistical methods in identifying disease hotspots and potential risk factors.
