Abstract

Precision agriculture relies on accurate spatial information to optimize resource allocation and enhance crop productivity. This paper presents a comprehensive study on the application of geostatistical modeling for characterizing and mapping soil moisture distribution—a critical factor influencing agricultural practices. Through a detailed exploration of geostatistical techniques, data acquisition, preprocessing, and validation methods, we demonstrate how geostatistical modeling can contribute to informed decision-making in precision agriculture.
