Abstract

As businesses increasingly adopt Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline operations and enhance productivity, the convergence of digital and physical realms through RPA introduces a new paradigm of Cyber-Robotic Harmony. This integration brings forth numerous benefits but also presents a unique set of cybersecurity challenges that demand immediate attention. This paper delves into the intricate landscape of securing RPA ecosystems, emphasizing the imperative need for a harmonious coexistence between cyber systems and robotic entities. It explores the vulnerabilities within RPA frameworks, including potential entry points for cyber threats, risks associated with unsecured automation, and the cascading impacts of compromised robotic processes on organizational integrity. Additionally, the paper investigates contemporary cybersecurity frameworks tailored explicitly for RPA environments. It analyzes the effectiveness of encryption protocols, access controls, and anomaly detection mechanisms in fortifying RPA systems against cyber intrusions.
