Friction Wedge for Vibration Damper for Freight Car Boards from Synthetic Cast Iron

Abstract

The article examines the prospect of using new materials, in particular synthetic cast iron, for the manufacture of a friction wedge for the vibration damper FWVD of freight car bogies, taking into account the design requirements placed on them. A new method for producing FWVD from synthetic cast iron in a one-time sand form is proposed with a description of the technological process.
