Abstract

The urgency of the education on religious plurality understanding to designate bride and bridegroom in Blitar Regency to achieve peaceful loving family life, illustrates the religious plurality understanding and explains the implementation of increasing on religious plurality understanding as well as describing the importance of education in religious plurality understanding for bride and bridegroom in Blitar. This study uses qualitative descriptive method with the findings and discussion that some designate brides and bridegrooms have understood the meaning of religious plurality for life in society and some have not yet understood it. The implementation of increasing understanding of plurality is carried out when attending the bride and bridegroom course which is held with face to face and independent guidance. The recommendations for organizing premarital guidance should follow the guidance and implementation of technical guidance as well as incorporate religious pluralist understanding in the context of mainstreaming religious moderation. Enhancing understanding of religious plurality can be carried out with education and training activities, seminars, focus group discussions, and workshop.
