CAINE 2023:Editor's Preface

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to you for the 2023 International Conference on Computer Applications in Industry and Engineering (CAINE).

Contained within this volume are the papers showcased at CAINE 2023: the 36th CAINE conference organized by the International Society for Computers and Their Applications (ISCA), which took place on October 16, 2023. This conference ran concurrently with the 32nd International Conference on Software Engineering and Data Engineering (SEDE 2023). We are grateful for the sponsorship of ISCA and the efforts of Dr. Narayan Debnath, ISCA's director, in managing the registration process. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year's conference was held virtually.

CAINE serves as a platform for researchers and scientists worldwide to present and discuss their research findings in the realm of computer applications across various disciplines. To ensure the quality of papers chosen for presentation and publication, each submission underwent a thorough review by multiple program committee members. The evaluation criteria encompassed technical content and accuracy, the significance of results, alignment with the conference scope, clarity of ideas, and overall quality. Ultimately, fifteen papers were accepted for presentation. The conference program also featured an invited keynote address by Dr. Kiran Balagani from the New York Institute of Technology, USA.
